What to expect

Real results with structured support—on your terms

Coaching at Gold Heart Recovery Coaching is not treatment or therapy. It’s a practical, human conversation focused on where you are today and what’s realistically possible this week.

Step 1

Honest conversation

We explore what’s really going on with your substance use & current struggles, what you’ve tried, and what support feels safe for you right now.

Step 2

Define your next step

We clarify what change would actually feel helpful—less chaos, fewer cravings, repairing trust, or simply using less.

Step 3

Create a simple plan

You leave the call with 1–2 realistic actions, and the option to continue with ongoing, structured coaching if it feels right.

Who we support

You don't have to "hit rock bottom" to ask for help

Gold Heart Recovery is designed for people who are: Worried that drinking, pills, or other substances are starting to take over more than they’d like. Tired of making promises to themselves they can’t keep. Wanting the anxiety to end. Need a safe place to speak the truth. Unsure if they’re “addicted enough” for treatment, but know something needs to change. Already in recovery and wanting extra accountability and grounding support.

We also welcome family members and partners who need guidance on how to support a loved one without losing themselves.

What Our Coaching Is

  • Confidential, 1:1 coaching sessions held virtually.
  • Practical tools to manage cravings, triggers, and high-risk situations.
  • Support that respects harm reduction, abstinence, or somewhere in between.
  • A focus on your whole life—relationships, work, mental health, and meaning.
  • Clear boundaries: coaching is not medical care, detox, or emergency support.

What Our Coaching Is Not

  • We do not "sugar coat" we are loving and firm with our clients because you deserve the truth.

  • We are not therapy: We don’t dwell on the past; we focus on action.

  • We are not a medical clinic: We don’t provide detox or prescriptions; we provide real-world lifestyle integration.

  • We are not a passive: This requires active, daily engagement.

  • We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You’re not the only one who feels this way

Names and details are changed to protect privacy, but the courage is real.

“I used to wake up full of dread, promising myself I’d drink less and then breaking that promise by 5pm. Coaching gave me small, doable steps. Six months later, my relationship with alcohol is completely different.”

— Andrea, 34

“I didn’t think I ‘qualified’ for help because I still had a job and a family. Kyle with Gold Heart Recovery helped me see that I didn’t have to wait for a crisis in order to change. I feel more present and honest than I have in years.”

— Jason, 41

“As a partner of someone struggling with substances, I felt lost and angry. Coaching gave me language, boundaries, and a plan that didn’t depend on them being ready to change.”

— Lauren, 29

Frequently asked before booking

If you’re unsure whether coaching is right for you, the free consultation is exactly the place to explore that—no pressure, no commitment.

Is this therapy or medical treatment?

No. Gold Heart Recovery offers coaching, which means we focus on support, accountability, and practical change in your daily life. We do not provide diagnosis, prescribe medication, or replace therapy, detox, or medical care. If we believe you need a different level of support, we’ll communicate that clearly and offer referrals when possible.

Do I need to be sober before I book?

No. You are welcome exactly as you are. Some people come to coaching wanting to cut back, some want to stop completely, and some are still deciding. The consultation is a safe space to talk honestly about where you are, without being pushed into a specific goal.

Is our conversation truly confidential?

Yes. Your information and what you share in sessions is kept private, within the normal limits of the law and safety. Gold Heart Recovery will never share your name, story, or contact information without your explicit consent.

What happens after the free consultation?

At the end of the call, we’ll review what you’re hoping for, what support might help, and whether ongoing coaching feels like a good fit. You’ll receive a clear recommendation and options for next steps—but you’re never obligated to continue.

Can family members or partners book a consultation?

Yes. Many people come to coaching because someone they love is struggling with addiction. We can use the consultation to help you understand what’s in your control, set boundaries, and find ways to care for yourself in the process.

Your future self will be grateful you reached out today!

You don’t have to have the perfect words or the perfect plan. You just have to take the next step.
